Winning More SBIRs/STTRs Awards in North Carolina (March 22 and 23)

The NC Defense Technology Transition Office (DEFTECH) will partner with First Flight Venture Center, the North Carolina Department of Commerce’s Board of Science, Technology & Innovation, and our hosts at four NC Community Colleges, to conduct this SBIR/STTR Educational training.

The purpose of this training is to educate and inform more small businesses in North Carolina’s vastly growing science/technology ecosystem on how to compete and win more Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) awards from federal agencies.

The North Carolina Military Business Center (NCMBC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Daniel Quinn as Business Development Professional. Serving businesses statewide from Wake Technical Community College, Daniel will also provide one-on-one assistance to help businesses in the following counties to compete for, win and grow jobs through federal contracts: Caswell, Chatham, Durham, Franklin, Granville, Lee, Orange, Person, Vance, Wake and Warren.

Don Davis joined the North Carolina Military Business Center in February 2023. He currently serves as a Strategic Industry Professional, specializing in defense and industrial aerospace.  

Don is an executive level aerospace business consultant with more than forty five years of defense and industrial experience.
