The SBA is pleased to announce it is accepting nominations for the 2023 SBA Small Business Person of the Year and other National Small Business Week Awards.

SBA to Hold Town Hall for the Lumbee Community

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has announced it will hold a town hall for the Lumbee Community on Wednesday, Oct. 19. The event marks the SBA’s first, significant outreach event in Robeson County and for the Lumbee tribe.

The town hall will include a brief SBA presentation and a panel discussion also featuring the SBA as well as its resource partners: Small Business and Technology Development Center, SCORE, Women’s Business Center, Veterans Business Outreach Center, and Robeson Community College Small Business Center.

ARPA-E Intends to Announce $31 Million to Further Develop New Technology for Floating Offshore Wind Turbines

ARPA-E intends to announce $31 million in funding through phase two of its Aerodynamic Turbines, Lighter and Afloat, with Nautical Technologies and Integrated Servo-control (ATLANTIS) program. The ATLANTIS program focuses on novel forms of systems engineering of floating offshore wind systems to drive down costs.
