Equitable Clean Equitable Clean Energy Advancement Initiative Workshop

We are excited to announce the launch of the Equitable Clean Energy Advancement Initiative Pilot in North Carolina, and we invite you to be part of our first cohort!

About the Equitable Clean Energy Advancement Initiative (ECEAI): Our mission is to help minority-owned businesses in North Carolina engage with, expand, and sustainably grow in the energy industry. Throughout the 8-week Equitable Clean Energy Advancement Initiative Pilot cohort, participants will engage in hands-on workshops, interactive discussions, case studies, guest speaker sessions, and practical exercises. This comprehensive program aims to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and resources necessary to excel in clean energy, including access to Department of Energy grants and contract opportunities.

Workshop Topics include:

1. Introduction to Clean Energy
2. Registering for SAM.gov
3. Regulatory Landscape for Clean Energy
4. Developing Clean Energy Projects
5. Energy Storage Solutions for Clean Energy Businesses
6. Building Sustainable Business Models
7. Clean Energy Project Financing
8. Cohort Graduation

Program Workshop Dates: 

• September 27, 2023 (Cohort start)
• October 4, 2023
• October 11, 2023
• October 18, 2023
• November 1, 2023
• November 10-11, 2023 (Cohort Graduation)

Program Workshop Times: 6:00 – 9:00 pm EST

Workshops will be hosted virtually unless otherwise specified

Business Eligibility:

• At least fifty-one percent (51%) of the business is owned by one or more persons who are members of at least one of the following groups: African American, Hispanic, Asian American, American Indian, Female, Disabled, or Disadvantaged.
• The management and daily business operations are controlled by one or more owners of the business who are members of at least one of the groups set forth in the groups above.
• Must have a minimum of 3 years business operation
• Must provide goods or services applicable to the Energy Industry
• This pilot ECEAI Cohort is for North Carolina-based companies
• Participants must reach at least 80% attendance to complete the program.
