This Memorial Day weekend, we are privileged to host a special Hybrid (in-person / virtual) DEFTECH Coffee Call dedicated to two true American heroes, MAJ James Capers, USMC (Ret.) and SgtMaj Joe Houle, USMC (Ret.). Join us to learn about groundbreaking therapies for Veterans and hear the powerful stories of service and resilience from these distinguished Marines.

  • 8:00 – 9:00 AM (EST): Edward R. di Girolamo, PE, Executive Director at HBOT4Heroes will help us “Dive into life-changing Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)”
  • 9:00 – 10:00 AM (EST): Be inspired by the heroism and unwavering spirit of MAJ James Capers and SgtMaj Joe Houle
  • 10:00 – 11:00 AM (EST): MAJ Capers’ book, “Faith Through the Storm Book Signing and Extivita Tour

Featured Heroes:

MAJ James Capers, USMC (Ret.) MAJ Capers is a decorated Marine officer whose career is a testament to valor, resilience, and exemplary leadership. As a Vietnam War hero and leader of Marine Force Reconnaissance units, his actions in combat and his role as a pioneering African American officer have left a lasting legacy. He is a Silver Star recipient and the author of “Faith Through the Storm,” sharing his journey and the values that guided him through his service.

SgtMaj Joe Houle, USMC (Ret.) SgtMaj Houle is a distinguished Marine with a storied career spanning multiple decades and numerous conflicts. A Vietnam War veteran, he held various leadership roles and co-founded the Carolina Museum of the Marine. His efforts ensure that the stories and sacrifices of Marines are honored and remembered. Post-retirement, he remains actively involved in veteran affairs and community service.
